Add the Heyday chat widget to your site

Add the Heyday chat widget to your website. You can add it to specific pages or to all pages using the Google Tag Manager.

Audience: Heyday administrators

To enable the Heyday chat widget, a snippet of code must be added to your website. We'll provide you with the snippet for your brand and for each language you require. The code you will insert is unique for your brand, so DO NOT COPY this example.

You can add this code to your website in either of the following ways:

  • On specific web pages - Place the code snippet provided by Hootsuite into the HTML header section (<head>.... </head>) of web pages where you want the chatbot to appear.
  • On all pages using the Google Tag Manager - Add a custom HTML tag to a website that uses Google Tag Manager. See the Google Custom tags help article for instructions. Once you copy the code snippet provided by Hootsuite into your custom HTML tag, create a new All Pages > Page view trigger (see Google Page view triggers for help) to add the chatbot to your website.

Once you've added the bot to your website, turn it on and start chatting with your customers! To turn on your chatbot, go to Heyday Settings , expand General, select Chat display, and turn on your chat widget.
